Postdoctoral Scholar position(s) are available in the laboratory of Dr. Mark P. Rubinstein, in the Department of Internal Medicine and part of the newly created Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
The successful applicant will work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment of immuno-oncology researchers at the new PIIO institute with access to state-of the-art facilities and technologies. The Rubinstein laboratory is focused on developing immune-based strategies that will help individuals with cancer and other human disease. While some effort is focused on T cell and NK cell biology, including immune checkpoint therapy and adoptive cellular therapy, we seek to use innovative approaches for understand disease and develop new therapeutic approaches leveraging collaboration with other investigators, industry, and clinicians. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a track record of success. Although experience in areas such as flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, multispectral imaging, spatial transcriptomics, molecular biology, computational biology, single cell sequencing, phage display, and other advanced genetic screening techniques may be helpful, the ability and interest to learn is paramount.
