The Immunomodulation and Translational Research Program in Department of Child Health, University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, is seeking a Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Fellow with extensive microsurgical expertise to participate in several federally funded projects focusing on transplantation tolerance. The successful candidate will involve in a team effort using novel immunological ligands for localized immunomodulation to induce tolerance to solid organs, particularly heart, and islet grafts in mice (Immunity 2002; Nature Materials 2018; Biomaterials 2019; Science Advances 2022, Journal of Immunology 2020; American Journal of Transplantation 2020).
Minimum Qualifications
- D., M.D., or D.V.M. with a minimum of 3 years of experience in performing microsurgery in rodents with focus on heart transplantation.
- Candidates with extensive microsurgery experience (> 4 years) with Master or Bachelor degrees will also be considered.
